S&C Interviewed on the State of the Digital Oil Field

S&C was asked to provide key insight into this emerging field along with other key technology companies as part of a global survey to understand the State of the Digital Oil Field (DOF) in this low oil price environment. DOF is the integration of networking, communication, and automation with oilfield processes such as surveying, drilling and production. Oil fields are deployed with hundreds of sensors that transmit real-time data to the supervisory control units. The data is then managed and filtered by various service providers and sent to operators.

S&C's position as an automation integrator and software solution provider working in the DOF space the last six years has provided us real world examples of the pros and cons of applying this technology in multiple operating assets. Once the report is published, we will add a link to the URL.
